Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 maintains its director

If the news of Final Fantasy VII Remake first name has been shaken up with the announcement of the PS5 Intergrade port , a bonus DLC and even two mobile games including a battle royale , Square Enix does not forget the future major stage of the project: the second chapter. A project on which Testuya Nomura returned in an interview with Famitsu , confirming in particular that the director of the first part would still be in charge of this sequel.

It is therefore Naoki Hamaguchi who will have the great honor, or the heavy task, of making the second part of Final Fantasy VII Remake a reality , about which we do not know much at the moment. As Tetsuya Nomura, a revered illustrator and producer at Square Enix, explains, " We have just announced three games related to Final Fantasy VII Remake, and personally I am involved in an unprecedented number of projects. The gameplay of FFVII Remake has been consolidated in the first installment and I see what needs to be improved in the future, so I will leave the realization of the next installment to Hamaguchi-san, and I will be involved in all aspects of FFVII, including the remakes and mobile games, as a creative director ".

For now, priority is obviously given to the PS5 port of the game and to the new content mainly featuring Yuffie, the ninja from distant Wutai, who will collaborate with another branch of Avalanche. She will team up with Sonon Kusakabe, a new character who will not be directly controlled, although it will be possible to assign him orders and commands by putting the game on active pause. His Moogle hood which allows him to " evolve in all discretion " (sic) is also a tribute to, this proto-TPS of sinister memory. Another element imported from Dirge of Cerberus, the character of Weiss seen in the trailer will act as a hidden boss ,
